PLOT
The rebels from the Muraru planet fight for the independence against the Emperor in the darkest galaxy of death.
Background
Daniel Strehlau made his first version of “War in the Stars” at the age of 14 using his Super 8mm and 2 x 8mm cameras when filming models in space battles. The models consisted of glued and modified plastic airplane models, models made of metal tea boxes with little Revell, Airfix and Atlantic astronauts and soldiers in 1:72 scale, and one Luke Skywalker X-wing AA-589 / T-65 fighter model. The background of the Galaxy was made of black-painted cardboard with holes punctured for stars that shone a halogen light behind the cardboard. The outcome of the battle was inconsistent as most models were burned with flammable glue or exploded with small firecrackers.
